About the Role
We are seeking experienced Senior AWS Platform Engineers to join a large-scale enterprise cloud modernization initiative. This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise AWS infrastructure, cloud migrations, platform engineering, automation, and cloud-native technologies supporting mission-critical applications.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on AWS Platform Engineer with deep infrastructure expertise, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and experience building and supporting enterprise cloud environments. This role is not focused on CI/CD pipeline management alone—it requires engineers who can provision, administer, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS infrastructure in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, and manage AWS infrastructure resources.
- Support enterprise cloud migration initiatives from on-premises environments to AWS.
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Build and automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application connectivity issues.
- Partner with Solution Architects, Application Development teams, Platform Engineering teams, and DevOps teams throughout the application lifecycle.
- Support production environments and resolve infrastructure-related incidents.
- Participate in infrastructure planning, implementation, optimization, and operational support.
- Assist with containerized application deployments and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Ensure AWS infrastructure follows enterprise best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on AWS Platform Engineering experience.
- Strong experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Strong experience supporting enterprise AWS production environments.
- Experience with cloud migration projects, including lift-and-shift and modernization initiatives.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

AWS Certification
AWS Certification is strongly preferred and highly valued for this position.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for engineers who have hands-on infrastructure experience rather than deployment-only DevOps backgrounds. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience creating, provisioning, administering, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure while supporting enterprise production workloads.
Additional Information
- Candidates may reside anywhere within the United States.
- Must be able to work Eastern Time business hours.
- Local candidates are preferred but not required.
- Selected candidates must attend an in-person interview in Reston, Virginia.
- Following the interview process, work may be primarily remote depending on project assignment.
